How to set up Global Styles
Read this guide to understand how Global styles work in Videowise and how to configure default styles for all interactive video experiences across your store.
Global styles define the default look and behavior for elements like:
- Video players
- Call to action buttons
- Lead capture forms
- Quizzes
- Hotspots
- Embedded videos
You can always override these styles when configuring individual widgets or videos. To locate global styles:
- Go to Settings
- Click Global Styles
At the top of the page, you’ll see multiple tabs. Each tab controls global defaults for that interaction type.
Quiz
Controls global styling for interactive quiz experiences.
Text Styling
You can configure:
- Text line 1 (Main Title)
- Text line 2 (Description)
- Font family
- Font size
- Font weight
- Text color
- Alignment
Answers
Controls the appearance of quiz answers.
You can configure:
- Answer format (A, B, C / 1, 2, 3 / None)
- Font size
- Font weight
- Text color
- Highlight color for selected answers
Call to Action
Controls the global styling for Call to Action overlays inside videos.
Text Styling
You can configure:
- Text line 1 (Main title) / Text line 2 (Description)
- Font family
- Font weight
- Font size
- Text color
- Alignment
Submit Button
Controls the appearance of the CTA button.
You can edit:
- Button text style
- Text color
- Background color
- Corner radius
- Border (color and width)
If enabled, you can add a background gradient color that helps in drawing the user's attention to the CTA’s elements.
Lead Capture Form
Controls the default styling for lead capture forms shown inside videos.
Text Lines
You can configure:
- Text line 1 (Main title) / Text line 2 (description)
- Font family
- Font size
- Font weight
- Text color
- Alignment
Input Fields
Controls the appearance of form fields.
You can edit:
- Selected input color → style the highlight color of your form.
- Background color
- Border (color and width)
- Corner radius
Submit Button
Controls the submit button for the form.
You can configure:
- Text style and size
- Text color
- Background color
- Border
- Corner radius
Thank You Message
Controls the message displayed after form submission.
You can edit:
- Font size
- Font weight
- Text color
- Alignment
If enabled, you can add a background gradient color that helps in drawing the user's attention to the Form elements.
Player Settings
Controls global in-player behavior for all widgets.
Progress Bar
- Toggle Progress bar ON/OFF
Preselect Variant
- Toggle Preselect variant ON/OFF
When enabled, a default product variant is automatically selected inside the player.
Hotspots
Controls the default styling for shoppable hotspots.
Hotspot Type
Choose the default hotspot appearance:
- Dot
- Product icon
- Plus icon
Price Display
You can toggle:
- Show product price
- Show old price
Thumbnail Style
Controls product thumbnail appearance:
- Corner radius
- Border ON/OFF
“View All Products” Button
Controls the button shown when multiple products are linked to a video.
You can edit:
- Toggle button ON/OFF
- Button text
- Button background color
- Corner radius
- Border ON/OFF
- Border color + border width
- Text color
Button: Controls whether the button includes an icon, and which icon is used.
You can edit:
- Toggle Button icon ON/OFF
- Icon type (example options shown: cart icon / bag icon)
- Icon color
“Shop Now” Button
Controls the styling for the “Shop now” action button.
You can edit:
- Button behaviour (go to product page, add to cart, direct to checkout)
- Button text
- Button background color
- Corner radius
- Border ON/OFF
- Border color + border width
- Text color
Video Embed
Controls how embedded videos behave and appear before and during playback.
Player Controls
You can choose how video controls are displayed:
- Always display controls
- Controls are always visible
- Display controls on hover
- Controls appear when the user interacts
- Hide controls
- Clean, distraction-free experience
Play Button
Controls the play button shown before playback starts.
You can configure:
- Display play button ON/OFF
- Button type
- Icon button
- Text button
Don't forget to "Save & Close" after you've saved your changes.
